After we attended the morning service at our church we went to the winter coming party which was held by an international volunteer group. There were many people dancing to music played by a live band, singing beautiful songs, making delicious sushi, playing games, watching magic shows and so on. We’ve been living a quiet life, so it was nice to go to the party and meet our friends and some new people as well.
Actually, there are quite a many people of different nationalities in our city.
In the party, Ainu people showed us their powerful traditional songs and dance. Also the place was decorated with traditional Ainu patterns.

Drive for a couple of hours north from here and you will find two popular hot spring towns. Around those areas you can see many Ainu souvenir stores. They sell those beautiful wooden craft works. You also can eat traditional Ainu dishes and watch dance shows as well.
You can study their traditional arts during winter. I recommend you to pay a visit to one of those towns someday.
